ACUPUNCTURE ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA INC

Is the longest known association of Acupuncture in Australia.
Formed in Sydney in 1970, it has always been an association of Registered Health Practitioners.

Since the inauguration of our association, our insistence was that all members have University science qualifications majoring in anatomy. Being Registered Health Practitioners guarantees our members have all the basic health sciences and differential diagnosis qualifications. This requirement has never changed. We have a very strict minimum curriculum standard in traditional Chinese Acupuncture and have had since 1981. Our original course was recognised by the SA Chiropractors Registration Board.

Our association therefore allows Chiropractors and Osteopaths. A book was published of our 30 year history in 2000.
